Let me know if you feel something

GOLDEN HOUR (3).png

Sixteen-year-olds Emma and Joseph are caught in the whirlwind of their first relationship, striving to meet the impossible expectations society has placed on them. Beneath their confident façades, Emma begins to question what love truly means, while Joseph struggles under the weight of his carefully crafted image. As guilt, pressure, and unspoken fears consume them, their relationship spirals into a moment of irreversible violence.

Told through a powerful mix of monologue and dialogue, this gripping story examines the clash between what we believe we know and the truths we choose to ignore.

Fruitcake Productions acknowledges the traditional Owners of the land on which we create, work and live; the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation and pay our respects to Elders of this land. We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and the lost of language, communities and story due to genocide and dispossession.  Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.

We also acknowledge the role of English institutions past and present in global colonisation and oppression. As a company we aim to engage with and resist continued colonial structures within the theatre space and beyond. We thrive to make Fruitcake Productions a Safe, Inclusive and Diverse for Theatre Makers Everywhere.
