I am not an open book

"I Am Not An Open Book" takes you on a captivating journey through a world of exploration and self-discovery. In a realm where tales are preserved under a protective layer, this theatrical experience challenges norms with elegance. It explores the nuances of identity and gender, scattering them like seeds across an imaginative landscape. Amidst this, a courageous adventurer seeks not just companionship but a quest for inner truth.

"I Am Not An Open Book" encourages audiences to delve deeper into layers of understanding and embrace limitless possibilities. It's an exploration where pages are not merely turned but explored thoroughly, inviting us to redefine our own narratives amidst echoes of the past and the digital age.

Fruitcake Productions acknowledges the traditional Owners of the land on which we create, work and live; the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation and pay our respects to Elders of this land. We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and the lost of language, communities and story due to genocide and dispossession.  Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.

We also acknowledge the role of English institutions past and present in global colonisation and oppression. As a company we aim to engage with and resist continued colonial structures within the theatre space and beyond. We thrive to make Fruitcake Productions a Safe, Inclusive and Diverse for Theatre Makers Everywhere.
